PROGRAM

1st day Cave and largo degustation experience

After breakfast in hotel. Departure to Carrara, (with your own car) meeting with the local guide and departure in the direction of Cave marble. We go up the caves at 1000 mt. and we will visit a Cave of marble that is still in use, and we will discover the ancient and modern methods of extraction of marble. Here we can take some picture of the different caves we visit. After the visit and having received all the information of a historical and social nature, we continue towards Colonnata: we visit a "larderia" to see how and why it is produced the renowned “Lardo di Colonnata PGI” is aged for a long time (and without haste). Lardo degustation with a glass of sparkling wine.

 

2nd day wine degustation experience

After breakfast in hotel. Departure (with your own car) to Lucca free visit of the city, after we move to a local factory for a wine degustation experience. There you will have a tasting experience of 3 wines accompanied by a qualified AIS-FISAR Sommelier Tasting of 3 wines: Urano Sauvignon Toscana IGT (100% Sauvignon Blanc) Montecarlo Bianco DOC (50% Trebbiano, 10% Semillon, 10% Roussanne, 10% Vermentino, 10% Malvasia Bianca, 10% Sauvignon, 10% Chardonnay) Montecarlo Rosso DOC (50% Sangiovese, 10% Marlavsia Rossa, 10% Canaiolo, 10% Ciliegiolo, 10% Merlot, 10% Syrah In combination with typical dishes of the territory, bruschetta with extra virgin olive oil of the factory, farm crouton, tomato bruschetta, and salami
